The US Department of Justice Says You Can Record Angry Cops

Have you ever been subject to police brutality? Although it probably wasn’t Apartheid-related, the fact of the matter is, this sort of thing happens everywhere. It’s always been an issue in my country tis of thee, the land of lady liberty, the free, the brave, and police brutality. We live in an angry world. And although officers often try to silence your concerns by preventing your recording of their procedures, they aren’t allowed to do so. In fact, according to the magical powers of the first amendment, we as American citizens have a civil right to record the activity of our policemen- despite what you may have otherwise heard.
